CNN has just published an interesting blog about O. Winston Link. Well known to all North American railfans and photographers, Link was intensely interested in photographing steam and early diesel locomotives. His major focus was the Norfolk and Western Railroad, a precursor to the current Norfolk Southern. Somehow O. Winston Link managed to always make his photographs "approachable" by including a human element in the composition of his shots.
If ever around Roanoke, Virginia do visit the Link Museum. It is well worth it.
