People Power to the rescue!

Berlin, Germany is been having some dreadful weather during the last 48 hours. Heavy rains and tornadoes, as well as nasty thunderstorms have been reported. The news daily "Berliner Morgenpost" tells us that a lot of trees have been toppled. It appears that one of those trees fell on the overhead power cable of the M1 tram line, stranding one of the Adtranz built GT6N street cars. The newspaper reports that the overhead power was not damaged and functioning about 30 meters (90 feet) further on. Not to be deterred, the tram passengers decided to push the powerless tram to the still electrified section to continue their journey.
